  2. Application language

The language and format of the submission are determined by the call for the national competition. Initially, a brief project concept must be submitted, which can be prepared with the support of the national program coordinator.

  3. Registration requirements

  4. Mandatory project results

A tangible contribution to the GEF’s global environmental priorities, along with benefits for the local community. The grant is disbursed in three tranches: an advance to initiate the project, an interim payment following a progress report, and a final payment upon submission of the final report.

  5. Eligible activities

Conservation of biodiversity and ecosystems, energy efficiency and renewable energy, climate change adaptation, waste and chemicals management, combating land degradation, sustainable forest management.

  6. Submission deadline

The program is ongoing, but project proposals are accepted in response to the announcement of national competitions. It is advisable to discuss your idea and concept with the national coordinator in advance so that you are prepared for the next announcement.
