ARRKO Continues Focus Groups: Discussing Safety and Development in Hatne Community
We continue our series of focus groups in Kyiv region communities!
This time, our Kyiv Regional Development Agency team worked in Hatne community!
The meeting was joined by the head of the community, Oleksandr Palamarchuk, deputy head Serhii Vitenko, the starosta of Vita-Poshtova settlement Artem Klymuk, representatives of public organisations, including Lad i Myr, local entrepreneurs and the general director of Kärcher in Ukraine, Ivan Bechko.
What important things did we learn about the community?
- Residents’ safety is the community’s priority. Particular attention is paid to building shelters and ensuring the protection of the population in the event of danger.
- A single emergency services centre – the community aims to implement a modern administrative building model similar to the American 911 system. Police, the State Emergency Service and ambulance services will be brought together in one place, allowing a swift response to residents’ calls.
- Sports development – the community actively supports sports initiatives and engages young people in a healthy lifestyle. The main goal is for every child to have the opportunity to attend sports clubs.
- A new sports and rehabilitation centre – another large-scale project in the community’s plans. It will be intended for veterans and young people, providing conditions for both sports training and rehabilitation.
Despite various challenges and the external threat from the enemy, community residents continue to implement useful and effective projects. We thank all participants for a substantive discussion and constructive ideas!
The focus groups are being carried out with the grant support of the International Renaissance Foundation.
