Economic Conference ‘Reconstruction of Ukraine’ in Düsseldorf

Representing the Kyiv Regional Development Agency at international events 💪

📍Last week, an economic conference “Reconstruction of Ukraine” took place in Düsseldorf. Its participants included representatives of the government of the state of North Rhine-Westphalia, the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Ukraine to Germany, and delegates from Ukraine. The Agency was represented at the event by legal expert Dmytro Ovsii.

The conference aims to demonstrate ways of joint work, from providing assistance to the recovery of Ukraine on the basis of partnership. The main focus is on aspects of economic policy, practical examples and projects at the municipal and regional levels.

During the event, it was possible to talk with representatives of the German side about cooperation in the development and reconstruction of Kyiv Oblast.

📢“Many of our German colleagues are very cautious about entering joint projects, as security and risk insurance issues are extremely important to them. But there are also those who want to act more actively and cooperate with us. They are interested in learning about the Agency’s existing projects. So far, 6 companies have expressed such interest. And a federal trip is planned for the summer, in which representatives of the North Rhine-Westphalia state government will take part. I am confident that our plans will be realised and we will work together for the development of the oblast”, – Dmytro Ovsii shares his impressions.
