Financial support for the restoration of energy infrastructure

Financial support for the restoration of energy infrastructure

📍The restoration of energy infrastructure has received an additional boost in the form of preferential lending for the purchase of energy equipment!

The reconstruction of energy infrastructure facilities damaged during the war is currently underway. And the state is already working to ensure that Ukrainian homes have light and heat this winter. In particular, the Government has allowed loans to be issued to CHPPs and TPPs under the “5-7-9” programme.

On Tuesday, 16 May, the Cabinet of Ministers adopted a corresponding resolution allowing additional financial support for restoring the equipment of combined heat and power plants (CHPPs) and thermal power plants (TPPs) damaged during hostilities.

👉According to the resolution, CHPPs and TPPs will be able to receive loan funds to restore, repair or replace damaged energy infrastructure. This, in turn, will allow such enterprises to operate stably in the autumn and winter of 2023/2024.

The maximum loan amount cannot exceed UAH 3.6 million per 1 MW of installed capacity, as well as 90% of the cost of all necessary financing. Loans will be issued for a term of up to 10 years.

The adoption of this resolution and the expansion of «5-7-9» lending for CHPPs and TPPs is an important step towards continuously providing Ukrainians with light and heat throughout the coming autumn and winter!

We are confident that such government support will contribute to the reconstruction of energy-generating facilities in the region. And this, in turn, will be the foundation for a stable energy supply to all settlements in Ukraine!
