First Forum of Heat Energy Producers

Recently, the team of the Kyiv Regional Development Agency took part in the First Forum of Heat Energy Producers in Zhytomyr. The event was organised by Ecodiya, Ecoclub and the Zhytomyrteplokomunenergo municipal utility.

The event was attended by representatives of government authorities, municipal utilities, business and civil society organisations.

During the forum, participants discussed topical issues in the development of district heating in Ukraine, including:

• problems and prospects of the sector;
• tariff policy;
• the financial and economic condition of enterprises;
• best-practice cases in heat supply system development;
• attracting investment and implementing innovative technologies.

The event organisers also presented Zhytomyr's experience in developing its heating system, showcasing a biomass CHP plant, a boiler house with a gas-piston unit, and a solar power plant on a hospital roof. In addition, the event featured a presentation of research by Dixi Group and the Ecoclub NGO on the state of district heating in Ukraine.

Efficient and environmentally friendly heat supply is an important topic, especially in today's conditions. We thank the organisers for their in-depth research and useful information on this sector.
