Law on the ratification of the Financing Agreement for the Interreg Europe 2021–2027 programme

Ukraine has taken another systemic step towards integration into Europe's regional development space.

The President of Ukraine has signed the Law on the ratification of the Financing Agreement for the Interreg Europe 2021–2027 programme. This is not merely a formal procedure — it is a strategic decision that opens up opportunities for Ukraine's full participation in the Interreg VI-C programme, expanding access to EU resources for regional development.

Kyiv Regional Development Agency— currently the only institution in Ukraine already participating in this programme as an implementing partner of the GreenGov project – Interreg Europe. We see the ratification of the Agreement as a signal of trust in the capacity of Ukrainian organisations to work in a format of inter-regional partnership to EU standards.

We believe this step will stimulate institutional strengthening at the local level, the development of sustainable projects, and the formation of an open, professional ecosystem for cooperation with European regions.
