Off-site meeting of the region’s leadership in Bila Tserkva district

An off-site meeting of the region’s leadership with the district leadership and heads of communities was held in Bila Tserkva district.

The main issues discussed were security, strengthening defence capability, and business development amid the energy crisis. The Agency was represented at the event by Director Oleksandr Vakhovskyi.

📢 “21% of the enterprises whose operations are important for ensuring the food, economic or energy security of Kyiv region are located in Bila Tserkva district. Our team carried out an analysis of compliance with power-outage schedules for strategic enterprises and for randomly selected manufacturing enterprises. We have to state that in 41% of cases we received a negative answer regarding adherence to the approved special schedules. There really is a serious lack of stability. But businesses are learning to adapt, reformat their work, combine energy sources, and work at night – just to avoid stopping altogether,” noted Oleksandr.

The meeting also discussed the latest results of financial institutions’ activities in 2022 in terms of supporting the economy of Kyiv region with credit resources, and briefed those present on the most up-to-date programmes through which banks and the state are responding to Russia’s energy terror.

“Despite all the difficulties linked to rising costs of raw materials, logistics and power-supply problems, it should be noted that:

🔺 The business activity expectations index in Kyiv region has been growing in recent months;

🔺 The number of open job vacancies is increasing;

🔺 27% of the region’s enterprises have even increased their production volumes,” emphasised Oleksandr Vakhovskyi.
