Participation in a Ukrainian-Korean business meeting
Representatives of the Kyiv Regional Development Agency recently took part in a Ukrainian-Korean business meeting held at the Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce and Industry / Ukrainian CCI.
The event featured a presentation on the activities of the Korea Overseas Infrastructure & Urban Development Corporation (KIND) — a Korean corporation specialising in implementing infrastructure projects abroad. The company expressed deep interest in investing in Ukraine, particularly in urban planning, transport and engineering infrastructure.
During the meeting, Mr Mu-hyuck “Badger” Lee, Director of KIND's Investment Policy Support Department, presented several examples of projects already under way, including:
- a smart city masterplan for the city of Uman;
- an infrastructure development concept for Kyiv Oblast;
- the M10 industrial park in Lviv.
The meeting became a platform for substantive dialogue, establishing new contacts and exploring potential points of common ground for joint work. It is particularly valuable that KIND views Ukraine as a promising partner for years to come, rather than as a temporary direction for investment presence.
Developing international partnerships with experienced players in the infrastructure sector is an important step towards the recovery and transformation of Ukraine's regions. Kyiv region is open to cooperation and is actively working to create favourable conditions for the implementation of such projects
