Participation in an energy forum

On 24 July 2024, the Kyiv Regional Development Agency took part in the forum “Energy Security: Public-Private Partnership”, organised by the Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (UCCI) and Business Woman Club. The event became an important platform for discussing topical issues of energy security and sustainable regional development.

Forum participants, including representatives of government bodies, business and civil society organisations, focused on discussing the following key topics:

  • State energy efficiency and energy saving programmes. Existing programmes and initiatives aimed at improving the energy efficiency of buildings, industrial enterprises and utilities were presented. Participants discussed opportunities to improve and expand them.
  • Distributed generation projects. Participants examined the prospects for developing renewable energy sources and creating local energy systems that will help increase the region's energy independence and reduce the load on centralised networks.
  • Business solutions for energy independence. Business representatives shared their experience in implementing innovative technologies and solutions that allow enterprises to reduce energy consumption, increase production efficiency and reduce dependence on external energy suppliers.
  • Grant support and lending for energy efficiency. Opportunities for obtaining financial support from the state and international organisations for implementing energy efficiency and energy saving projects, both for businesses and communities, were presented. Participants discussed the terms and procedures for obtaining grants and loans, as well as successful examples of their use.

The Kyiv Regional Development Agency expresses its sincere gratitude to the forum organisers – the Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Business Woman Club – for creating a platform for constructive dialogue and exchange of experience on energy security issues.
