Partnership with Helvetas Ukraine

Recently the Kyiv Regional Development Agency team took part in the training "Market Systems Development (MSD): building a resilient economy through a systemic approach" in Kyiv. The event was held at the initiative of Helvetas Ukraine together with the International Labour Organization Ukraine.

The training programme was intensive and built on a deep understanding of market systems. Participants worked on the topics of:

• systems thinking and the role of MSD in the regional economy;

• identifying barriers and root causes that constrain the functioning of local markets;

• practical analysis of sectors where effective interventions are possible.

Representatives of various regions, teams from civil society organisations, international projects and government bodies took part in the training.

Within the training, the Agency solemnly signed a Memorandum of Cooperation with Helvetas, sealed with the signatures of Petr Base, Country Director of Helvetas Ukraine, among others. This step became a logical continuation of the already established cooperation and confirmed a shared readiness to invest in systemic change at the regional level. For our team, this partnership has special value: it is built on professional dialogue, an understanding of the challenges, and a belief that local solutions are capable of changing the broader context.

We sincerely thank the Helvetas team for the invitation to the training, their deep expertise, openness to partnership, and the support that gives our initiatives substance, scale and resilience.
