Regional presentation of the public investment management reform

How can we ensure that investment decisions in communities are strategic rather than situational?

This was discussed at the regional presentation of the Public Investment Management (PIM) reform, in which Zhanna Ovcharova, Deputy Director of the Kyiv Regional Development Agency, took part.

The event, organised with the participation of the Ministry for Development of Communities and Territories of Ukraine, was chaired by Deputy Minister Oleksii Riabykin. The focus was on a new system for making decisions on investment projects: with clear rules, medium-term planning and an analytical foundation.

As early as this summer, communities in Kyiv Oblast will begin preparing Medium-Term Public Investment Plans, and by the end of the year they will form project portfolios — logical, transparent and linked to territorial development strategies. This will become a prerequisite for effectively attracting state and international funding.

Particular attention during the event was paid to the digital system DREAM – the State Digital Ecosystem for Recovery Management — a tool that ensures transparency and control at every stage: from idea to implementation.

The Kyiv Regional Development Agency supports the implementation of the PIM reform, because our goal is to help communities think strategically, develop quality projects and be ready for new opportunities.
