Resilience Forum: "Entrepreneurship in Wartime" 2025
Recently the Kyiv Regional Development Agency had a great opportunity to join an event dedicated to the third anniversary of the government’s "Vlasna Sprava" (Own Business) micro-grant programme Vlasna Sprava /grant/. Since July 2022, it has supported more than 29,000 entrepreneurs and helped create around 52,000 jobs across Ukraine.
The forum brought together government leaders, development partners, representatives of business associations and grant-recipient entrepreneurs. The event’s programme included panel discussions on the role of creative industries in economic development, business opportunities in wartime, entrepreneurs’ success stories, and the specifics of supporting business in frontline regions.
In addition, during the announcement of the results of the "Vlasna Sprava" programme, speakers noted that Kyiv Oblast is among the leaders among the regions. Together with the city of Kyiv, our region accounted for around 16% of all winners, which shows the high activity of entrepreneurs and their readiness to develop their own business even under difficult conditions.
Such results once again prove that, despite the extremely difficult conditions of wartime, entrepreneurs are building up their strength and becoming more capable and effective at attracting grant funding.
We sincerely thank the organisers of the forum for the opportunity to join this important discussion and to talk about the future of entrepreneurship in Ukraine!
