Strategic Planning for Regions: New Ideas and Partnerships for the Development of Kyiv Region

Recently, the Agency team took part in a key event dedicated to strategic planning and the development of Ukraine’s regions.

This was not just an official meeting, but also an opportunity to understand how different regions address shared challenges, learn about new ideas and, most importantly, find ways to make Kyiv Oblast even stronger.

The event was opened by Oleksii Riabykin, Deputy Minister for Communities and Territories Development of Ukraine, and Christoforos Politis, Deputy Resident Representative of UNDP in Ukraine. Their speeches focused on the importance of joint efforts by authorities and communities in achieving sustainable development.

One of the important moments was a presentation on the state of strategic planning in our oblast by Lesia Karnaukh, deputy head of the Kyiv Regional State Administration. We also heard about the experience of Luhansk, Donetsk and Kyiv regions.

For the Kyiv Regional Development Agency, such events are important for building partnerships, updating knowledge and increasing the effectiveness of regional development.
