European integration — in practice.

A training programme “Ukraine's Integration into the EU. Regional Policies and Tools for Their Implementation” was held in Katowice for representatives of Ukrainian regional authorities.

Zhanna Ovcharova, Deputy Director of the Kyiv Regional Development Agency, took part. Over five days: training, practical visits, debates and discussions with Polish experts who themselves shaped Poland's model of European integration.

For the Agency, taking part in the programme means:

🔹 a focus on EU cohesion policy and the possibilities for applying it in Ukraine

🔹 familiarisation with approaches to regional development management at the voivodeship level

🔹 best practices in programming, fund attraction and building inter-institutional cooperation

🔹 dialogue on exactly how regional administrations should transform to meet the challenges of EU integration.

This is deep work on how to speak the same language as the EU — the language of policies, institutions and shared goals.
