Visit of the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Republic of Serbia to Ukraine to the Kyiv Regional Children’s Hospital

With the assistance of the Kyiv Regional Development Agency, a visit took place by the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Republic of Serbia to Ukraine, Andon Sapundzhi, to the Kyiv Regional Children’s Hospital in the town of Boiarka 🇷🇸🤝🇺🇦

During the visit, the Ambassador familiarised himself with the work of the Kyiv Regional Children’s Hospital municipal non-profit enterprise — a multidisciplinary facility that is the heart of children’s medicine in Kyiv Oblast. The hospital’s General Director, Kateryna Savinova, presented the key departments and spoke about the challenges the facility faces today.

Special attention during the meeting was devoted to discussing future cooperation in developing the burns unit. We discussed in detail the unit’s needs and strategic plans for its modernisation, so that children can receive the highest level of care right here, at home.

Although this visit was of an introductory nature, we have already outlined the first practical steps. We believe that the openness of Ambassador Andon Sapundzhi and the interest of the Serbian side will grow into substantial support and joint projects aimed at strengthening the region’s medical infrastructure.
