Women’s Business Forum “Women’s Leadership in Times of Challenge. Kyiv Oblast.”

Since the start of the full-scale invasion, women opened almost half of the sole proprietorships (FOP) in Kyiv Oblast. Currently, about 28% of women head newly established companies in the oblast. And while most men are defending our country, businesswomen continue to ensure Ukraine’s economic stability.

On Wednesday, 21 June, the first Women’s Business Forum “Women’s Leadership in Times of Challenge. Kyiv Oblast” took place.

During the event, participants discussed the role of women in restoring Ukraine’s economy, grant opportunities, financial instruments for supporting entrepreneurship, and the social responsibility of Ukrainian business in the context of reconstruction.

Speakers at the forum included a People’s Deputy of Ukraine, member of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Budget, head of the subcommittee on state investment projects Anna Purtova, director of IC Soul Partners Iryna Dzhus, head of the international trade and European integration direction of the USAID Programme USAID «Competitive Economy of Ukraine» Programme Anna Gladshtein, and rector of the Bila Tserkva National Agrarian University Olena Shust.

This forum is an important platform for uniting and supporting Ukrainian businesswomen. They are currently working actively to ensure reconstruction, development and economic stability. That is why we must help them in this difficult but very important work.

The event was organised by the Kyiv Regional State Administration, USAID «Competitive Economy of Ukraine» Programme, Business Woman Club and the Kyiv Regional Development Agency.

We support businesswomen of Kyiv Oblast for the further reconstruction of our region!
