On 19 December, a workshop for economic leaders of communities, “Economy. Mission Recovery: Challenges and Prospects”, was held in Bucha.
The workshop was organised by Department of Economy of Kyiv Oblast State Administration. Representatives of Entrepreneurship Development Fund, state banks of Ukraine, Kyiv Regional Development Agency, Recovery and Development Agency, Institute for Economics and Forecasting of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine.
During the event, experts raised topics regarding the economy of Kyiv region, new approaches to strategic planning, current tools for supporting local business, and the process of creating conditions for attracting investment into communities.
One of the key topics of the forum was devoted to attracting investment in local and regional development, during which the head of ARRKO, Oleksandr Vakhovskyi, elaborated on the Agency’s work with investors, creating a favourable business environment and supporting entrepreneurial initiatives.
“In 2023, the Agency actively worked with representatives of industrial parks, was involved in relocating enterprises, and resumed the work of the Covenant of Mayors in Kyiv Oblast. In my opinion, next year state support and incentives for industrial parks, as well as the extension of Resolution 5-7-9 to the sphere of industrial parks and renewable energy, could become a positive impetus for more active implementation of investment projects,” notes Oleksandr.
“In 2024, the Agency has fruitful and intensive plans: submitting an application for an institutional support project in 4 areas, training on preparing investment projects and business models, including supporting p2p contacts between communities,” concludes Oleksandr Vakhovskyi.
